Zayed Foundation allots Dh22 mln for pilgrimage costs
Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation under the chairmanship of His Highness Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation has allocated AED 22 million for 1000 people who will perform this year Haj (Haj 1422) on the expenses of the foundation.
Under the initiative 600 citizens and 400 Muslims from abroad will be chosen in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE Consulates.
Salem Obaid Al Dhahiri Director General of the Foundation told WAM that the initiative is in line with the pattern followed by late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and as an implementation of the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and a follow up of His Highness Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and His Highness Shaikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation to facilitate pilgrims who will perform Haj on expenses of the foundation.
