The Supreme Committee for the 45th National Day celebrations has adopted the official logo of the National Day celebrations this year, as well as the timetable of events. This year's events will begin on November 24 with media campaigns and art and heritage exhibitions in addition to commemorating Martyr Day on November 30 and National Day celebrations which lasts till December 4.
The schedule and logo were decided in a meeting on Sunday, chaired by Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.
"The National Day celebrations unite our goals and highlight a remarkable state of belonging and sacrifice for the sake of our dear nation," stated Shaikh Nahyan.
"It is also a symbol of the strength of the construction laid by our father, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan, and continued by our wise leadership," he added.
He asked members of the Supreme Committee to ensure that the celebrations will focus on unity, which would highlight the values of all UAE communities, and also reflect on the national security, knowledge and prosperity being experienced by the UAE society.
The supreme Committee stressed the importance of early preparations and adding innovative initiatives to mark the national occasion.
The meeting was attended by Afra Al Sabri, undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development; Juma Mohammed Al Rumaithi, undersecretary of Presidential Ceremony at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Major-General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Interior, and Salem Al Ameri, Deputy General Director of the National Media Council.
