Dubai --- His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Zabeel Palace on Monday, received well-wishers who came to extend their greetings on the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Shaikh Mohammed received greetings from the speaker and members of the Federal National Council (FNC), ministers, senior government officials and citizens.
In his remarks during the meeting, Shaikh Mohammed underscored the importance of meetings during Ramadan, showing compassion with the underprivileged and helping those in need, elderly people, the sick and orphans.
This, he noted, is part of the Islamic and Arab traditions cherished by the forefathers.
The visitors prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the UAE’s security and national cohesion between the leadership and the people and to keep it as a role model of stability and peaceful coexistence.
They also hailed the UAE’s initiative for orphans and minors launched last week by Shaikh Mohammed.
