Shaikh Mohammed lauds DMI plan to recruit Emiratis in media jobs

A national plan unveiled by Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) to recruit Emirati media professionals has elicited commendation from His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Mohammed praised DMI’s plan to attract young Emirati media professionals to its multiple media channels (Press, radio and TV) as a key initiative to unlock their potential, hone their skills so as to achieve high performance in their profession. The Vice-President has also instructed Dubai Government Human Resources Department to mull the DMI plan and coordinate with other government entities to absorb those who have not been taken by DMI.

Amal bin Udai, Director of Human Resources, DMI, said some 500-600 job-seekers had been enrolled during a forum orgnised by the DMI on Tuesday.

About 70 job-seekers, she added, had not found opportunities at DMI.
