Abdulla Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council (DEC) and Ahmed Abdullah Al Shaikh, Managing Director and Director-General of DMI, signed the MoU in the presence of officials from the two parties.

Al Shaibani said Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the DEC, has issued directives to create a mechanism to assist the government departments to improve their services to the society in a scientific manner.

He underlined the efforts of the DMI as a department of the General Secretariat of the DEC to improve and upgrade the government services.

He also referred to the role played by the local media, which reaches all segments of the society, and said it works to enhance the confidence of the public in the Dubai government as the service machinery looks to providing decent and high-quality life for both Emiratis and expatriates.

“The local media also plays a role in attracting investors by casting light on the efforts to improve the services offered by the Dubai Government. It also contributes indirectly by creating awareness among the public, as points of dissatisfaction among customers are often because they are not well aware of the services and the challenges in providing these services,” Al Shaibani noted.

On his part, Ahmed Al Shaikh paid tributes to Al Shaibani for the distinguished role he plays in boosting ties between the government departments and the DEC General Secretariat.

The MoU stipulates that the DMI would monitor the views and opinions of the customers on the services provided by the Dubai Government departments of top priority and which are determined by the Dubai Model Centre.
