Players have been undergoing training sessions at the camp and will also play three friendly matches against Kuwaiti before departing to Bahrain.

The UAE Beach Soccer National Team will look to confirm UAE’s superiority in the Gulf since both the UAE Olympic national team and the UAE Juniors’ national team have won two Gulf’s titles recently.

Having won the first place in the Asian classiciation and the second place in last two editions of the Arab Championship, the UAE will hope for a very good show and look to exploit their World Cup experience, said the team’s director Khalil Ahli.

“We hope to win the title and raise the UAE’s reputation in this discipline,” he said.

The council had set up an intensive preparatory plan for the team which started with the participation in the Arab Championship, held in Saudi Arabia. Then followed a participation in the Moroccan Friendly Championship, held in Casablanca last July, during which the team played against a strong national team like Switzerland. The team has also been involved in daily preparations in August to maintain players’ fitness.

The UAE’s match schedule is as follows: October 12 at 11am vs Qatar, Oct 13 at 9am vs Kuwait, Oct 15 at 9am vs Bahrain, Oct 16 at 9am vs Saudi Arabia, Oct 17 at 9am vs Oman.
