The Duchess of Cambridge - Kate Middleton, penned a letter thanking Pakistan fashion designer, Khadijah Shah, for the elegant ensembles during her recent royal tour to the country.
Kate Middleton and Prince William were on a five-day tour in October, during which the Duchess of Cambridge had adorned traditional attire of the country.
The 38-year-old royal was totally in awe of one of the dresses - a black and white embroidered 'kurta' that she had worn to play cricket during a visit to the SOS Village in Lahore.
The Duchess thanked Khadijah Shah, creative director behind luxury brand Elan, and revealed her plans to return to the country, reported The Sun. Part of Kate's letter read: 'I loved the outfit I wore, so thank you for all your time and effort.
Pakistan really is a wonderful country, which we both thoroughly enjoyed visiting and hope to return to one day soon. This comes with my warmest thanks and best wishes'.
The fashion designer shared on Twitter Kate's letter on Kensington Palace-headed paper and captioned: 'I was delighted to have even been considered, this is just humbling to a whole different level'. Khadijah further wrote: 'However what's most commendable is the consideration, grace and thoughtfulness of the Duchess Catherine, it is no wonder that she is so respected and beloved'. The post received over 1,600 'likes'.
Khadijah set up her fashion label after completing a degree at the London School of Economics. It is understood that Kate came across her work ahead of the tour.
