Remarkable results for Arab Unity school

Dubai - The Arab Unity school in Dubai has achieved scholastic excellence through the outstanding performance of its students in the Cambridge International Exams (CIE).

The results of the IGCSE and Advanced Level Examinations, conducted by the international examination arm of the prestigious British University, have come in, with the school achieving “remarkable results”, according to managing director Abdul Hussein Taher.

Sixty-two per cent of total grades in the IGCSE ranged between A* and B.

Arab Unity school is the first Cambridge International Fellowship Centre in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and has been producing excellent results for the last 17 years in IGCSE and Advanced level Examinations.

In the Science stream of IGCSE, Mohammed Refaat Mohmmed Hussain topped the examination with eight A* grades and one A.

The other toppers were Ammarah Zahid (with eight A* grades), Sara Adel Wahab (with seven A* grade and one A), Furqan Ahmed (seven A* grades and one A) Mahmoud Ali Hassan (seven A* grades), Hafsa Mujahid (seven A* grades and one B) and Omar Ibrahim (seven A grades) .

In the IGCSE Commerce stream, Nayma Naser Disha topped the year with two A* grades, five A’s and one B.

At the GCE Advanced Level Examinations, the toppers were Rashaa Mohammed, Saad Bashar, Syed Abdullah Ali, Syed Afraz Akhtar and Hamza Bin Arf.

The credit of this commendable achievement has been attributed to the combined effort of all the faculty members, students and parents, Taher said.

He said he “appreciated the dedication, cooperation and commitment of the faculty members towards making the results so exceptional”. He wished all the candidates success in their future endeavours.
