New Indian primary school to open in April
With parents raising concern over the shortage of seats in Indian curriculum schools, several investors are all set to open new schools in Dubai.
One such school, following the CBSE – i curriculum, will open to its first batch of primary students from April.
Aiming to attract the middle-income group of residents, Sabari Indian School (SIS) will open for the coming Indian academic year, starting April 2013. Authorities have stated that the school will initially admit students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 and plans are afoot to open admission for higher grades in the near future. Spread over 10,000 acres of land, the new school will open near Century Mall in Al Wuheida area of Dubai.
Academic directors of SIS Malathi Rangarajan and Nitya Ramaswami said: “The school is aiming to attract people belonging to a middle- income group of residents.”
Though transport and other logistical costs are still being worked out, they announced that the school fees would ranging from Dh11,630 to Dh13,430 per annum.
K. R. V. Ramani, chairman of Sabari Group, said: “I see an urgent need for quality schools and we are well positioned to start operations.”
