The awards were given on the basis of academic merit, the students’ GPA, their conduct in class and their course load. Those earning a place on the Dean’s list boasted a GPA of 3.5 or higher and those who made the President’s list had earned a 3.8 or higher.
In total 164 students made the President and Dean’s lists, and an additional 25 students received recognition for their achievements in the Preparatory Programme.
“We are very proud of our students,” said Khalifa University’s Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Bayan Sharif. “Khalifa University believes that it’s important to recognise the achievements of our students. Our students have always proven themselves to be incredibly successful academically, and in their personal lives. They are hardworking, driven individuals who will no doubt turn into the next generation of leaders, and a driving force for the growth of the nation.”
“Our students are some of the brightest minds that the UAE has to offer and our course offerings reflect that,” said Khalifa University’s President, Dr. Tod Laursen. “Khalifa University provides its students with world class professors and is dedicated to building state of the art research facilities and equipment, so that they can compete on an international level with some of the best minds from around the world. The end result of our efforts will undoubtedly be a generation of highly educated graduates who will contribute effectively to Abu Dhabi’s 2030 Vision.”
