The appointments, which take place immediately, were made by HCT Chancellor Mohammad Hassan Omran Al Shamsi, who said they were made to reflect the directives of the UAE's leadership to promote and support Emiratisation.
The newly appointed college directors are: Sultan Karmostaji – Abu Dhabi Men's and Women's Colleges; Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi – Sharjah Men's and Women's Colleges; Dr Ali Al Mansoori – Ras Al Khaimah Men's and Women's Colleges; Dr Saoud Al Mulla – Dubai Men's and Women's Colleges; and Hamsa Saleh Al Ammari – Al Ain Men's and Women's Colleges.
Al Shamsi highlighted the importance of the appointments which were in accordance with the Emiratisation directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and also General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
“The HCT is a proud partner of the Absher Initiative, which was launched by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. Over the years, the HCT has actively worked with the Emiratisation efforts of the industry by placing over 60,000 highly qualified graduates to take up key roles in the UAE's labour market and economy. Today, the HCT is restructuring to meet its own Emiratisation goals and directives.”
Al Shamsi said the directorial appointments were a natural progression for the HCT. “We are always looking to employ well-qualified graduates in faculty and management positions at the HCT, as we find our graduates have the right blend of skills, knowledge and experience to succeed in such important roles,” he added.
