Co-ed classes in 5 UoS colleges

Five colleges of the University of Sharjah (UoS) have been exempted from segregating classes for male and female students due to the nature of their courses, according to Sharjah Ruler’s Advisor for Higher Education Affairs, Dr Amr Abdul Hameed.

These include colleges of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and fine art and design.

He stressed the move was in compliance with the instructions of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and the President of the University of Sharjah. The other UoS colleges will, however, continue to hold separate classes for male and female students, the Advisor stated.
