The new school was established following the directives given last year by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Adec, for a “modern school building and facilities in the area”.

The Ras Al Khaimah school will provide seats for 165 students in Kindergarten and Cycle 1 (Grades 1-5).

The school, which was designed with sustainability features, comprises five classrooms for Cycle 1 including a science lab, music room, classroom for students with special needs and air-conditioned indoor hall equipped with modern audio and video devices.

It also has two classrooms for KG and an air-conditioned indoor playground.

According to the Adec, licensing and designing of the school was started in June 2012, while construction work took place in August 2012 and was completed this month according to the project timeline.

The school premises also consists of a multi-purpose indoor basketball playground, a school canteen, a prayer room, a clinic, covered outdoor playground and green landscapes.
