The driver, a Pakistani identified as A.S, faced rape and molestation charges in the Court of First Instance. His accomplice, another Pakistani driver, M.Z., is accused of helping him.

According to prosecution records, the accomplice was the complainant’s friend. That evening, he brought her to the office and then allowed the defendant access to the room where she was.

The complainant, a 39-year-old working Filipina, told the prosecutor that she was married but separated.

One day in February she asked her friend, M.Z., for some money and he said he would take her to someone who could lend her cash. He took her to a company in Al Quoz. A.S. came in the room where she and M.Z. were, claiming to be M.S.’s superior. He also threatened to report her to the police because she had entered the premises without his permission.

A.S. then blackmailed her into giving him her bank card. A.S. then asked M.Z. to go out of the room. He locked the door after him and cornered the complainant.

She said she was sacred and could not shout for help.

A Filipina woman, a 33-year-old secretary, said in the investigation that the complainant called her in the evening and asked her to come to her place. She was crying. She then knew that the complainant was raped.

In the prosecution investigation, M.Z. claimed that the complainant had called him that day and offered herself for paid sex. However, he gave contradictory statements later to the prosecutor.

According to the Criminal Lab report of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence, the DNA of the semen sample lifted from the woman matched with A.S’s.
