A security officer of a shopping centre faced trial on Monday in the Court of First instance on the charge of sexually harassing a woman.
The 34-year-old Pakistani man is accused of hugging the Russian woman, kissing and touching her body against her will on October 20.
A complaint was filed at Al Rafaa police station.
The 24-year-old complainant, who works as a saleswoman in a shop at the mall, said that she went to the security office to obtain a staff parking pass.
"The moment I entered, that guard came right to me and hugged me. He then kissed me three times on the cheek".
She turned her head and pushed him away before he could further kiss her on the lips.
She said he touched her while hugging her.
The complainant told the prosecutor she went out of the office crying and returned about 20 minutes later. She told the guard she was upset with what he did and would complain against him.
The guard admitted to the charge during the interrogation and investigation.
