According to the prosecution records, the 43-year-old defendant, who is an investor, groped the woman customer, as he was heavily drunk, in the bar in Jebel Ali on a night in February.
The 23-year-old complainant said that she was standing in the bar with two work mates when the defendant groped her from behind. She was shocked and asked him why he did it. He was apparently very drunk. After a brief while, the accused got closer to them and started yelling, but she could not understand what he said because of the loud music. The verdict is subject to appeal within 15 days at the Court of Appeal.
