An Asian man who hit his friend with a stone causing him permanent injury has been pardoned.
The injured, also Asian and a worker, sustained injuries on his head and a fracture on the wrist of his left arm.
During the court hearing on Sunday, presided over by Judge Hussain Al Ousofi, the accused confessed to the crime and said he has a good relationship with his friend did not know what led him to have a fight. He said he was drunk and that he was not aware of what he was doing.
The victim, however, informed the judge that he had pardoned his friend and that he did not want any compensation from his friend. The case has been adjourned to November 21 for judgment.
