Emirati hurt in Oman airlifted to Capital

A 48-year-old UAE national who suffered a head injury in an accident in Oman was airlifted from a Salalah hospital to Abu Dhabi on Sunday on the orders of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Shaikh Khalifa ordered a medical aircraft, with an officer from the Ministry of Interior and a medical team from the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi on board, to airlift the Emirati injured in a traffic accident in the Thumrait Governorate of Oman, and bring him to the UAE for treatment.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, the victim suffered a head injury in an accident on Friday and was taken to the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah for treatment.
