The girl’s mother, a 37-year-old Indian housewife, said during investigation that her daughter was sleeping by her side that night in the month of May and woke her up at 1.20am and she looked terrified.
The mother learnt that someone was in the room and had touched her daughter. He ran away from the flat when the girl saw him. The mother locked the bedroom door and a few minutes later, she realised that someone was trying to open the door.
She screamed and phoned the security of the building located in Rafaa. The security man found the apartment door open and nobody in the living room. The mother came out of the bedroom later.
The schoolgirl said that she had seen a man who had touched her in the lift once.
She saw the same man standing by her bedside and touching her. He moved away and then stood at the room’s door and looked back at her again before rushing out.
A police officer said that after inspecting the complainant’s flat, they learnt that the defendant had entered it using a key.
There were no signs of a break-in and the flat was not in a mess.
The verdict is expected soon.
