Dubai developer Aark unveils Dh4 billion project on Al Marjan Island
A top officer at the Traffic and Patrol Department said on the instruction of the Sharjah Police chief, an inspection campaign was launched in August to curb the practice of some motorists, especially youth, who rev up in vehicles with modified engines, silencers and horns through residential areas, causing disturbance and threatening the lives of other road users and hindering traffic movement. As part of the campaign, more patrols have been deployed in all squares and on internal and external roads in all parts of the emirate.
The officer called on parents to cooperate with the police to ensure the safety of their children by preventing their teenaged children from violating traffic laws and staying away from illegal practices such as reckless driving.
Deputy chief of the Sharjah Police Mubarak Al Dukhan said the inspection campaign has contributed a great deal in bringing order on the streets and ensuring safety.
