Colonel Jamal Al Jalaf, Deputy Director of Control and Administrative Affairs at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, said that most of the women beggars wore ‘nekaab’ and ‘Abaya’ and posed as UAE’s local women and some of them even exploited children. While some other tricks by male beggars included claims that they are handicapped or sick and at times claiming that their money was stolen. Colonel Al Jalaf praised the government departments and people who cooperated with the campaign that achieved success.

He said that the Dubai Police have honoured and awarded appreciation certificates and prizes to three people who called the police more than once on the phone number 800243 and supported the campaign.
