Looking to build on the 110-run victory achieved in the day-night match at The Oval on Tuesday in Cook’s first match as full-time ODI captain, England named an unchanged side.

Sri Lanka replaced retired opener Sanath Jayasuriya with Dinesh Chandimal, who will play at No. 3 with Mahela Jayawardene rising up the order to open the batting with captain Tillakaratne Dilshan.

With the sun shining at the toss, there was expected to be no repeat of the bad weather that blighted the first match, which was reduced to 32 overs per side because of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
