Dhoni ignores hype on eve of W Cup semifinal
MOHALI, - India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni says his players are focused only on playing their best cricket in Wednesday’s World Cup semifinal against Pakistan, and not the possible political ramifications of the game.
A host of politicians — including the Prime Ministers of both countries — VIPs and celebrities will attend the match, which is expected to be watched by a record television audience exceeding 1 billion.
Dhoni tells a news conference on Tuesday the presence of such distinguished guests means “we have to be at our best,” but says the team will ignore any outside influences which might affect their performance.
