Danube win Baskin Robbins title
DUBAI - Danube beat Bits and Pieces to win the Fourth One-Day Baskin Robbins Charity Cricket Tournament, organised by Baskin Robbins and Insportz Club, held at Insportz Club.
Oxford Marine took the third place while Royal Stags finished fourth in the 21-team event.
Dh1,32,575 was collected and disbursed to 40 patients and needy identified by Valley Of Love – a NGO based in Dubai.
John Varghese, director, Dunkin Brands and the main force behind this tournament, said: “It gives us real pleasure to be of help to the sick and needy who many a times have no one to look up to. We are in the 4th edition of the tournament and will continue to do so in the coming years and try and reach out to more people in need.”
Manoj Nair, coordinator for this event, said it feels really nice to be of some help to people in need. “We look forward to having more events like this and urge corporates to donate generously towards this generous cause,” he said.
