According to a Sharjah Police official, the accident occurred when the fire truck, which was being driven by the deceased, diverted off the road and hit the cement barrier, causing it to overturn several times.
The police said they received a call at 10pm on Monday about the accident and the team reached the site in less than two minutes. The national ambulance rushed the injured to Al Qassimi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The deceased, who was originally from Fujairah, was buried after a prayer in his home emirate.
