The facility where passengers will be placed in quarantine will be operational in one week and will have a dispensary, cafeteria and other recreational facilities among others. There will be an additional quarantine centre with 300 beds in Islamabad, reported Tribune.com.pk.
According to an NDMA spokesperson, three thermal scanners worth Rs20 million have been obtained and will be installed at various airports across the country.
While confirming the fifth case, state minister for health Dr Zafar Mirza took to Twitter to reveal the woman, who tested positive for the coronavirus, had arrived from Iran. The 45-year-old woman arrived in Pakistan from Gilgit Baltistan and said to be in a stable condition.
