Have you noticed how priorities change when you are sideswiped and the world as you know it has changed dramatically? First, there is disbelief followed by a certain vulnerability, even rage, followed by a kind of surrender, like shrug, shrug, que sera sera. Perhaps one of the ropes to cling to is humour and to laugh a little. Someone sent me this very clever "when you are climbing walls" piece and it is exactly how some of us are feeling as we save ourselves by being cooped up.

Added a bit to it here and there. Like my sheets tell me we will wrap this crisis up very soon. And the lamp says lighten up, this too shall pass. And the TV says, hey, channel your energies, this is the long haul.

Ok over to the expert. Don't know who he is but he is smart.

Be careful because people are going crazy from being in lockdown!

Actually I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting bad. The toaster is baffled this virus popped up suddenly and cannot understand why people don't understand social distancing and the microwave gets all heated up when the curfew is violated.

I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything, and certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant.

In the end though, the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine, no situation is too pressing. The hoover was very unsympathetic... told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over!

The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion, and didn't say anything but the door knob told me to get a grip and not to panic.

The Net is a bit down these days and the sofa is looking at the cushions to ease the tension. And the kettle is just blowing steam.

The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to ... Yes, you guessed it ... pull myself together.
