He died of a heart attack that coincided with complications arising from the coronavirus disease.

The second was a 58-year-old Asian resident of the UAE, who had pre-existing chronic illnesses - namely, heart disease and kidney failure. This compounded the patient's inability to fight the virus.
The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, and assured the general public of its continued commitment to ensure the health and safety of the UAE community.
The UAE has recorded 12 deaths from the virus so far.
