UAE Covid vaccine: 127,074 residents vaccinated in 24 hours

The UAE has vaccinated 127,074 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The country's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 3.69 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 37.32.

In a significant achievement, India has become the fastest country in the world to reach the 4 million Covid-19 vaccination mark in 18 days, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a small-sample lab study released on Tuesday has shown that two Covid-19 vaccines from Chinese companies, including Sinopharm, triggered immunity against a highly transmissible coronavirus variant first found in South Africa.
