SHILPA SHETTY was in Delhi recently to endorse a brand, and she said she'd been travelling a lot, but it was all in a day's work for her. "The medium of cinema is so vast and there is a lot that you can do here," she said.
"And it is my love for this medium that keeps me going. I love being a part of films here in India because that's what has made me who I am. Even abroad, I am known as the Indian actress. And this is something that cannot be taken away from me."
But what does that have to do with travelling a lot? "It's not a cakewalk for an actor. It is not as glamorous a job as it seems. I am always travelling for something or the other. Your job as an actor does not end with just a performance.
"There are so many other responsibilities that one has to shoulder. It's a 24x7 job. Even when the cameras are off, people don't let you be yourself. There is a certain persona that you have to live up to. It is difficult, but I love it," she said.
