A banker by day and a comic artist by night,Saudi Arabia based Naif Alkhairallah is the creater of Black Restrictions. His comic book is one of the few at MEFCC done completely in Arabic.

Black Restrictions.
The story is about. the choices we make that might appear right and beautiful but whose results might be disastrous. That is the moral of the story.
Sagir is the name of my main character and after Comic Con you can purchase Black Restrictions at Virgin Megastore, and Kinokuniya Book World.

The story:
There are no aliens or sci-fi. I'm dealing with magic. The idea of magic that exists in the Arab world is big, but no one ever talks about it. It's like, taboo, but this is the subject that I'm covering.

On MEFCC helping regional talent:
It's helping us big time. I didn't decide to really get into comic books until Comic Con Dubai 2013. When I came here and I saw young Arabs and Saudis making their own comics and I got excited and inspired to make my own comics. This is the first time I made my own and distribute my comic. I will definitely come back next year with more comics.

Emma Sabberton
While browsing through stalls, Emma Sabberton's jewellery - cufflinks, rings, earrings and necklaces - are some of the coolest things we found at this year's MEFCC. Inspired from pop culture's greatest stories such as Star Wars, R2 D2, Superman and Thor, her pieces are designed and manufactured here in the UAE. Created with incredible detail and artistic thought and craftsmanship, they are definitely worth checking out.
