Zipex Launched in UAE Market
DUBAI— Pertamina, the biggest producer and marketer of mineral lubricants from Indonesia, has partnered with Korea’s SK Energy to introduce co-branded range of lubricants, under the name ‘Zipex’ in the Dubai market beginning this month.
To penetrate the UAE market, Pertamina - SK Energy have conducted marketing research to understand consumers’ needs, climatic and road conditions, as well as carried out field-testing prior to the launch.
The co-branded range of ZIPEX will be made in Pertamina’s factory in Jakarta, using the time-tested formula of Pertamina lubricants in Indonesia and marketed in Dubai from October.
The new range of ZIPEX lubricants for the UAE market were recently launched at a ceremony in Dubai and attended by over more 500 invitees that included distributors, workshops, mechanics and customers.
The product according to A. Faisal, Corporate Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Trading, Pertamina and Tae Han Jung, Vice-President, Lubricants & Base Oil Business , is expected to gain a very positive market response, since the region has a huge potential, as ratio of cars are very high.
Flow Trading L.L.C. has been appointed UAE distributor on the strength of their familiarity with the lubricant market. Early evaluation of ZIPEX revealed that the lubricant has competitive quality and price in its segment compared.
