UAE's Al Maya, US firms keen to boost ties

US Consul-General in Dubai Paul Malik visited the newly-opened state-of-the-art Al Maya Supermarket at Muraqqabat for the first time, along with agricultural counselor Quintin Gray, said Kamal Vachani, group director of the Al Maya Group.
Vachani told Malik that Al Maya Group imports a large number of fast-moving consumer goods from the US and wants to expand its products portfolio from there. They also discussed ways to further enhance the trade between US companies and Al Maya Group.
Al Maya Group currently operates more than 40 supermarkets across the UAE and GCC. Most of these are open 24 hours and provide free home delivery.
