Nakheel names global property agent

"The appointment of an international property agent has been necessitated by the continued volume of enquiries we have been receiving from international investors", said Wahid Attalla, Director of Operations for Nakheel.

"FPDSavills was selected to represent our projects due to their established and professional reputation combined with their vast network of offices throughout the world."

FPDSavills UK office will act as the international hub and utilise their worldwide network of offices to sell Nakheel's various projects to the international market.

Nakheel's prestigious portfolio of freehold projects covers both commercial and residential developments and includes The Palm, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Lake Towers and The World.

Attalla said: "Without a doubt The Palm has been a tremendous success both locally and internationally, however its popularity is now being closely followed by our other freehold projects. It is clear that different projects appeal to different people and we are pleased that our impressive range of developments appears to offer something for all tastes".

Charles Weston-Baker, Director of International Residential Department for FPDSavills and Wahid Attalla signed the deal, during The Palm's recent marketing road show in the UK. Weston-Baker said, "Nakheel's properties, in particular The Palm, have already created massive interest internationally and we are proud to be appointed as their international representative to continue building awareness of Nakheel's entire portfolio".

Established in 1855 Savills is a leading international property services company with a full listing on the London Stock Exchange. It has offices and associates throughout UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa and alliances in the UK and Canada. Nakheel already has and established working relationship with FPDSavills through The Gardens Shopping Mall where Byvan International Pty Limited - a subsidiary of the FPDSavills, are the appointed Managers. This mall, which is expected to open in September 2004, has already proved a major success with almost 100 per cent of the leasable space already secured by retailers.
