Didier Trassaert, vice-president, Maxtor, EMEA, said: "The company is also launching Maxtor's first Return Material Authorisation (RMA) collection centre for the MEA region, scheduled for opening this month in Dubai."

"The centre is designed to enhance post-sales service to local customers," he said.

"Initially the RMA collection centre will enable Maxtor's distributors to return drives requiring service locally, without need for re-export, and process the returns, as applicable," he added.

"In phase two, the collection centre will offer RMA services to a wider range of Maxtor customers, including resellers, system assemblers and end users. The company has plans for similar RMA collection centres in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, with more countries expected to follow," he explained.
