Jiu Jitsu Champions 2012 received

General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has said the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan supports the youth and sports, being an important sector to achieve today and future national aspirations in all fields.

Sheikh Mohammed was speaking to the Abu Dhabi Schools 48 winners (22 boys and 26 girls) of World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship at Al Bateen Palace here on Tuesday. Also present were Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), Mohammed Salem Al Dhahiri, Executive Director for School Operations Sector at ADEC and other officials.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince expressed his pride about meeting the youth talents, urging them to excel in academics too besides the sports so that they could continue representing the UAE in other international sports events.

Sheikh Mohammed also expressed his pleasure of meeting the Emirati winners of World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2012, whose contributions made the game one of the main sports in the UAE. He commended the outstanding efforts exerted by the technical and training staff.

He exchanged cordial conversation with the winners, lauding their excellent results and urging for utmost efforts to score good results in other international championships.

For their part, the winners extended their gratitude to the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, pledging that they would exert more efforts in the next championships in the light of huge support from Sheikh Mohammed and other senior officials.

Dr Al Khaili praised the support of Shaikh Mohammed to Emirati youth to boost their skills and talents as well.
