InfoFort and Emirates College of Technology have entered into a partnership agreement to train and provide job opportunities to young Emirati graduates pursuing careers in information management and related fields.
Through this partnership, the students will receive hands-on training to develop technical and business skills, in addition to receiving mentorship from InfoFort senior executives and an opportunity to intern at the company.
This agreement will also allow the two parties to work closely in applied research projects and help students to advance their knowledge in their chosen area of specialisation.
InfoFort is an Aramex company and a leading information management solution provider in the Middle East and Africa. The company began its operations in the UAE in 1997 and today is the region's leading Information Management Solution provider, assisting more than 2,000 organisations in 25 cities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
This initiative serves as a stepping stone for Emiratis into a career in technology and reflects InfoFort's clear alignment with the UAE government's efforts in encouraging and building a strong calibre of young talent for the future.
Prof.Ghassan Alqaimari, ECT President, Emirates College of Technology (ECT) said: "Talent development, for a sustainable tomorrow, is one of ECT's key focal areas and we look forward to the new opportunities that this partnership brings to our students."
Based in Abu Dhabi, Emirates College of Technology offers more than 16 undergraduate programmes of study, including Diplomas and Bachelor-level degrees.
Abed Shaheen, CEO of InfoFort, said: "As part of our ongoing efforts to invest in local communities, through training and providing new job opportunities for the young graduates, InfoFort is pleased to partner with the Emirates College of Technology. Together, we hope to continue inspiring and developing a skilled talent pool in line with the UAE's vision of building a knowledge-based economy." - business@khaleejtimes.com
