The service sector sub-index was the biggest loser, shedding 80.60 points or 1.21 per cent and closing at 6,573.13 for the day, while the banking sector sub-index lost 48.51 points to finish at 6,364.09. The insurance sector, however, managed to stay on a positive territory, gaining 1.44 points to close at 4,800.29.
