Nakheel conducts staff audit
DUBAI - Dubai government-owned developer Nakheel Properties said it was auditing staff to ensure that regulations were upheld within the firm. "Nakheel conducts regular audits to ensure transparency and regulation of procedure. This process is ongoing and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this state," a Nakheel spokesman said on Tuesday.
The developer of palm-shaped islands off Dubai's coast, is planning big investments in listed property firms in Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Last week Nakheel bought a 20 per cent stake with Istithmar World, the investment arm of Dubai World, in the acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil.- Reuters
Etisalat powers customers for ENB through Mobile POS terminals

ABU DHABI - Etisalat plans a further expansion of its mobile business data service initiatives with Emirates NBD bank using Etisalat's services to power its Point of Sale (POS) terminals for credit/debit card transactions through its Mobile Data network.
Emirates NBD merchants across industries including the hotel industry are using the service to deliver a faster and more convenient experience for customers so that they can have their card payments processed wherever they are rather than being subjected to the inconvenience of waiting to pay at a long queue.

DUBAI - BenQ Middle East has launched world's first '21.5' Full HD LCD display, E2200HD along with its latest line up of 16:9 aspect ratio Full HD LCD monitors - the M2200HD, M2400HD and T2200HD. BenQ research indicates that 16:9 (or "1980x1080" resolution) monitors will be the mainstream models by 2010.
The use of "1980x1080" resolution technology in the LCD monitor range delivers better image quality than ever before by offering dot-to-dot Full HD image transmission, solving the traditional image quality problems caused by 16:10 monitors.
"With the release of this next generation 16:9 Full HD LCD monitors, BenQ is staying ahead of the game by taking the HD technology beyond just high-end TVs," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, Middle East and Africa, BenQ.
Emaar Misr signs MoU with The Ritz-Carlton Company
