Dubai Refreshments and Emirates International Restaurants sign deal

DUBAI — Dubai Refreshments Company signed Emirates International Restaurants LLC for an exclusive 10 year agreement across Arabia.

All Chili's restaurants in the UAE will be serving Pepsi beverage products as of January 1st 2006.

Alan Salem, Dubai Refreshments Company's general manager said: "In addition to providing the best products, we offer value-added service by contributing significantly in developing these businesses through aggressive pre-planned marketing programmes."

"Winning the Chili's account underlines the company's continuing success in securing 'exclusive supplier' status with prominent restaurant chains," added Salem.

The newest acquisition boasts Chili's, Pizza Company, Black Canyon and Swensen's under its umbrella, with each brand only serving Pepsi beverage products in the casual dining restaurants.

Mohamed Saleh Bin Lahej, CEO of Saleh Bin Lahej Group, the parent company of Emirates International Restaurant LLC said: "Dubai Refreshments Company is aggressively seeking new territory within their market. We have the same vision, with expansion plans to grow our brands to167 restaurants throughout Arabia in the next 10 years. Having Dubai Refreshments on board is a mutually beneficial agreement for both of our companies."

Osama Salhin, Saleh Bin Lahej Group's president of hospitality division said: "We have confidence in both the product and the driving force behind it.
