Avivo Group, a leading healthcare services provider in GCC with 32 healthcare facilities under its umbrella, announced on Thursday that it has successfully completed the purchase of majority stake in Kalium Group, a well-established group in the field of medical aesthetics with a regional distribution company, clinics and educational institutes.
The transaction was successfully completed during July 2016 after Avivo Group had received all the necessary regulatory approvals. With this acquisition, Avivo Group increases its network to 43 healthcare entities in eight major cities in the Mena region.
Shailesh Dash, chairman of Avivo Group, said: "We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the deal by adding Kalium Group to our portfolio. This takes us another step forward with the implementation of our growth strategy in the rapidly growing regional healthcare sector while bringing Avivo Group closer to its impending IPO plan."
Established in 2006, Kalium Group is one of the leading Medical Aesthetics Solution provider in the Mena region. Kalium Group operates four premium medical aesthetic clinics in Dubai under Aesthetica & Dermalase brand and distributes USFDA approved and/or CE marked advanced Medical Equipment, Aesthetic Devices and Skin Care Products from well-known international brands under Kalium Drug Store, Kalium Co. for Scientific Equipment & Cosmetic Products and Kalium s.a.l. In addition, the Group operates "Institute of Medical Aesthetics" and "American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Dubai".
Both entities are accredited and dedicated to the continuous professional development of medical doctors and healthcare practitioners in the field of medical aesthetics and molecular science in the region.
