In Line with UAE's vision for the Year of Giving and as part of its philosophy of facilitating and rewarding academic excellence, Amity University Dubai recognised the stellar performance of nine high performers by awarding them 100 per cent scholarship to study at its state of art campus in Dubai Academic City.
A special category of Academic Merit Scholarships of 100 per cent where the tuition fee is completely waived off are being offered this year to 150 high achievers within the UAE and GCC in recognition of performance in their final year of high school. This is one of the biggest scholarship scheme offered by any private university in the UAE
In an impressive function on Friday, Mariam Sheikh, vice-president Student Recruitment-Amity University Dubai, gave the letter of scholarship to nine students who will be joining various undergraduate programmes in Business, Engineering and Science.
Emphasising the positive role played by Amity Dubai in recognising merit and talent, Dr Vajahat Hussain, CEO - Amity Middle East, said: "Being a progressive institution with strong ties with the community and industry, we constantly encourage students to push boundaries in their academic excellence. Providing scholarship is just one way of boosting the morale of young people to follow their dreams."
Amity University, the largest university in Dubai, is offering scores of undergraduate and post graduate in Forensic Sciences, Fashion Design, Nanotechnology, Media and Journalism, Film and Television, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Solar and Alternate Energy, Psychology, Architecture, Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is seen to be the new hub of academic excellence, skills development and a Centre for Life-long learning.
The university also offers Merit Scholarships to the students who secure 80 per cent and above in their final Board results with scholarships of 25-50 per cent.
