The woman, who arrived late, was not able to board the flight, and was spotted sitting at the outer door of the airport, Major Ahmad Al Sabousi, Head of the Community Police Department, said.
When approached, the woman informed that her flight had taken off without her since she arrived late. She was also not carrying any money, and as a result was unable to go to a hotel, or even arrange for food, until her departure the following day.
The woman was immediately provided a room in a luxury hotel and a car to transport her to the airport the following day.
Major Sabousi pointed out that the community police has been founded to serve the people and the community. Sharjah Police is keen to maintain the safety of passengers and residents, citizens and visitors, and to assist them at any time.
