Walaa A, a management clerk, was nabbed with 0.7gm hashish and 1 pill of Amphetamine.

The case details are that the Drug Control Department was tipped off by a reliable source that Walaa was consuming narcotic substances, and that she possessed some with the intention to sell.

Accordingly, the department set a trap to arrest and search her. The suspect, however, got wind of the impending operation and fled to a neighbouring emirate. That didn't help her, though. The forces of the both the emirates were now after her. Finally, she was tracked down and arrested. A search of her apartment spilled out the incriminating drugs (Hashish) and blue coloured rolling paper for cigarettes from the bedroom of the apartment.

Drug tests at the laboratory came back positive. Walaa was referred to the Prosecutor's office where further questioning took place. She admitted taking Hashish, and that she had asked someone to bring her the Hashish, which he did and also sold to a customer. Walaa claimed that she did not know the name of the man who brought her the Hashish, only his nickname, and could give only details of his appearance.

As for the Amphetamine pill, she said she had got it from a friend.

The court took cognizance of the confession, and the drug test results, and sentenced Walaa A to four years in prison.
