A small fire broke out at a residential building in Dubai on Saturday afternoon.
Khaleej Times was alerted of the blaze at Park View Residence in Al Nahda 2, Dubai, by reader, Denson Dany, who lives in a neighbouring building.
"I saw it from my building. Then I heard the sirens from the Civil Defense vehicles," he told Khaleej Times.
At 2.40 pm, Dany said the fire seemed to be "under control" after Dubai Civil Defense intervened. And at 3.11 pm he said the fire "is almost out".
"People are waiting downstairs and workers are walking towards a safe place," he added.
According to the witness report, the fire affected only "one or two properties", with the balcony appearing heavily blackened by smoke damage. The fire appeared to break out on the 7th floor of the 12-storey building.
SBK Group are the building management behind the property.
More details are awaited.
