An 81-year old woman probably looks like an easy target for a robbery right? Well, not quite.
Pushpaben Dhamji Bhalla, a senior citizen in Mumbai's busy suburb of Dadar was going for a walk at 10 in the morning on Wednesday when she was approached by a man claiming to be a police officer.
According to local media reports, the man asked Pushpaben to remove get jewellery and hand it over to him for safekeeping since there were goons lurking about.  She however ignored him and continued on with her walk as she thought something was amiss.
She even noticed that the man was not alone, and two more associates were waiting for him inside a taxi parked close by.
"He was trying to convince me again and again. When I refused, he got agitated and even tried to force me to obey. But I was adamant and refused to follow his orders. When he tried to grab my hand, I hit him hard, three to four times, with my walking stick," she recounted to Mid-Day newspaper
Others were alerted to the brawl and rushed to help catch the perpetrator.
Not quite as easy as it thought it would be eh? The alleged robber now languishes in Mumbai police custody.
