Visitor pleads not guilty to drug smuggling
DUBAI — A Pakistani visitor on Sunday pleaded not guilty to trying to smuggle drugs and narcotics into the country in the Criminal Court of First Instance.
The accused was detained at Dubai International Airport after the police inspectors found drugs and narcotics in his possession on June 17 this year. “We made him undergo the scanner test and 80 capsules weighing 724.22 grammes of heroin and narcotics were found in his stomach," an inspector said.
