The Sharjah Police have provided a free car lift to two men, whose plane had made an emergency landing at the Sharjah airport instead of Ras Al Khaimah due to the morning fog.
In a video posted by Sharjah News on Tuesday, the two passengers can be seen thanking the Sharjah Police for the gesture.
They said Major-General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, was personally checking on them, making sure they will be transported safely to their house.
The two men live in Dibba Al-Fujairah, which is about an hour away from the Sharjah airport.
One of the passengers said that as early as 5am, Maj-Gen Al Shamsi was already helping them at the airport. And after just a few hours, the police asked them to gather their luggage and provided them with a vehicle that would take them home.
The video also showed the two men getting inside a white SUV.
