Sharjah Civil Defence firefighters managed to control a massive fire that broke out at some warehouses in the Industrial Area on Thursday afternoon. The warehouses, which were located in Industrial Area 6 belonged to a general trading company.
According to a top Civil Defence official, no injuries have been reported in the accident.
Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director of Sharjah Civil Defence said that they received information about the fire at their operations room at 12:55PM. Firefighters from various fire stations in Sharjah were then dispatched and arrived at the site within four minutes.
The firefighters managed to control the fire and prevented it from spreading to neighbouring areas.

The burnt materials included wood, cardboard, and paper which also produced thick smoke that covered the area.
