The middle-aged man of Asian origin was found unconscious near the second interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road last summer. Since then, several social welfare organisations in Dubai have been trying to find details of his country of origin and his contacts. Their efforts, however, have not borne fruits so far. They are now planning to visit the labour camps situated in and around Al Quoz with the photograph of the man in the hope that someone might identify him.
The only clue at the moment is his shirt tag, which mentions the name of 'B.K. Tailors' situated in Islampur, written in Hindi.
Joseph Bobby, a representative of the Valley of Love, said, "This case has become a challenge for us. When the man was brought to the hospital, he was totally unconscious and his back was burnt. We guess that the man had collapsed during work and he was just left in that place. Since then he has gone into a coma. We are trying to find out his details but all efforts have gone in vain. We have not lost hope, however," he said.
